The Green Grinder
Envirolink Northwest is a sector support agency for the environmental sector in England’s Northwest. Following a successful series of DVDs Envirolink were keen to work with Red Fred to produce a video to promote an emerging technology for recycling materials on building sites. The video was required to be distributed via a CD-ROM and had to showcase all of the features and benefits to key stakeholders. 2G Environmental were the company involved and the new technology was a machine called the Green Grinder.
We worked closely with Bill Reilley of 2G Environmental to work out what messages were required from the final video. We undertook a reconnoiter of the site and discussed with Bill how we proposed to pull the sequence together. Graphics, voiceover and soundtrack were added to interviews and descriptive footage of the Green Grinder. The environmental and business cases were described and all of the features illustrated and explained. Encoded in a number of formats the final video has helped 2G Environmental to promote the benefits of the Green Grinder to London Olympic Committee in a way no other medium could have.
